Artists in the Blueline meets Tim Fortune of The Small Fortune Studio.
A small studio filled with paintings to reach the ceiling .... and in the midst.... painter Tim Fortune paints daily viewed by passersby and visitors into his studio and gallery. Tim Fortune, a painter, teacher, mentor, and businessman offers a unique opportunity to all those who visit his gallery.
A Saranac Lake native, Tim returned to Saranac Lake in the 90's after many years of living in Florida. At that time, Tim began taking active steps to lay the foundation for the now thriving arts community in Saranac Lake. Tim is the founding member of the Saranac Lake Artists Guild which has grown in both membership of artists and a larger gallery space.
I quickly felt at ease with Tim and enjoyed learning the story behind his career as a full time artist. I have passed The Small Fortune Studio many times to see Tim painting near the window. When I have mentioned to friends and co-workers that Tim Fortune is the guest this week several respond with, “I have always want to meet and talk with him.” Well I say - go on in and meet Tim Fortune!
Tim Fortune has found inspiration in the following artists.
You may visit Small Fortune Studio at 71 Main Street, Saranac Lake or by visiting online at The Small Fortune Studio
